Lovely evening yesterday at the Stockport Walking Group. A full room of lovely people and a chance to catch up with some old friends. What could be better?
It was great to meet Baz at last and to catch up with Martin, Sue and Peewiglet in the flesh. Welcome back PW — its nice to see you in the real world and not just the virtual one.
If there’s a better organised walking group that meets this regularly I’d be very surprised. Colin and his fellow officers do a great job.

In case you’re wondering about the ‘Sunny Stockport’ thing, this came not from last night but from a train journey last week. I was travelling back from Manchester when I noticed that the LED displays that tell you whether the seat is reserved was saying “This seat is reserved from Sunny Stockport to Stoke”. The train manager announced over the PA that we were coming into Sunny Stockport — after yesterday I kind of feel that this sounds appropriate!
It was great fun to see you again last night. I only wish I’d managed to find my way there before you’d finished the talk! *g* Good job I’m always pretty up-front about my navigational deficiencies…
A great talk and nice to see where we just came back from.
It was good to meet up with Peewglet and Martin Sue. Also for Baz coming up from London.
Good to chat to you all but it went to quick. Hope to see all at Martin and Sues talk in November all any other event.
