Nice idea - we'll have Cameron to deal with though!

I wonder if I could find someone to carry my backpack on the TGO?

My knees are *definitely* getting old. I've noticed that they take longer to recover from every long trip. I've even started with the glucosamine and chondroitin again recently (reaches for it, guiltily--haven't taken it today).

What you say about the joys of a long walk with a light pack resonates with me. It was, in fact, exactly what I was planning to do this summer--probably along the GR10--before I conceived the GR20 plan. I too was inspired by the sight of all those French peeps skipping lightly along the path, in my case when I took a day off at Bagneres de Luchon last summer and nipped up the mountain in a cable car.

I think we should start a petition to have cable cars installed on all the more attractive mountains *g* That would be more effective than glucosamine and chondroitin in the long-term...
